KATHMANDU: JAN. 23 – There is no shortage of Vero Cell vaccinations for booster doses, according to the government. The government has claimed that there is no shortage of Vero Cell vaccines for booster doses, despite reports of a vaccination shortage.

According to Surendra Chaurasia, head of the health service department’s supply management office, monitoring has been stepped up because demand has outpaced supply. He said that the front liner would be used at the beginning of the booster dose and that even those who did not fall within the prescribed range had used the booster dose.

He stated that the government was concerned about the lack of a booster vaccine. “Because of the high number of Vero Cell applicators, the first dose of frontline is Covishield, and the booster dose is monitored.” Chaurasia of the branch told Makalu Khabar, “Since we have the Vero Cell vaccine available only for frontline liner booster doses, we have already warned that the frontline will be in short supply if it is not administered by anyone in this range.”

Since Jan 17, the government has been providing vaccine booster doses to frontline personnel.
