KATHMANDU: JAN. 22 – COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 10,254 people in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, 8,212 and 5,725 antigen tests out of 14,462 PCR tests performed in various laboratories around the country confirmed COVID-19 infection in 2,042 people.

In Nepal, the number of people infected with COVID-19 has risen to 1 million 16 thousand 845.

COVID-19 infection has claimed the lives of 16 additional people today. According to the ministry, 11,651 people have died in Nepal as a result of COVID-19 infection.

A total of 708 infected people have recovered.

At present, there are 72,862 active in isolation and 149 in quarantine in Nepal, according to the ministry.

5,306 infected in Valley

COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 5,306 people in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday. Of them, 3,762 are in Kathmandu, 1,110 in Lalitpur and 434 in Bhaktapur, according to the Ministry of Health.
