Travel to Gulf countries on a visit visa banned

KATHMANDU: JAN. 22 – With effect from Jan 24, the government has decided to prohibit Nepali nationals from flying to Malaysia and other Gulf nations on visit visas.

Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Friday that the ministry has decided to halt issuing visit visas to Gulf countries and Malaysia beginning Jan 24 and continuing until further notice.

According to a press release published by the Ministry on Friday, the decision was made after Nepalis who had travelled to the Gulf countries and Malaysia for various reasons complained that they had faced numerous problems.
