Laxmi Das Manandhar, a former member of NA, passed away

KATHMANDU: JAN. 21 – Laxmi Das Manandhar, a former member of the National Assembly, died at the age of 93. In 2058 BS, Manandhar was elected to the National Assembly on behalf of the CPN-UML.

Manandhar was the chairperson of Salt Trading Limited for a long period, as well as the former chairperson of the National Federation of Industries and Entrepreneurs of UML.

Manandhar is believed to have played a key role in the organization of Nepal’s salt trade.
