Former Chief Justice Sharma dies

KATHMANDU: JAN. 20 – Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Mohan Prasad Sharma, 88, died on Wednesday.

After suffering from kidney problems, he died at his own residence in Kamalpokhari.

Sharma, who entered the government service in 2015 BS, was elevated from the post of branch office of the Ministry of Law in 2017 BS and served as the Chief Justice of Nepal from Chaith 2054 to Mangsir 2056 BS.

Late Sharma was the father of two children, a son and a daughter. The funeral will be performed after the son arrives from Canada, according to family sources.
