6,734 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: JAN. 17 – An additional 6,734 people have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours across the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14,014 PCR samples were tested across the country, while 5747 and 6,734 antigen samples were tested.

During the same time span, 547 people were recovered and three perished. According to the ministry, there are currently 30,877 active infected and 114 critical cases across the country.

Similarly, the Ministry of Health reports that in the previous 24 hours, 143,360 persons have been vaccinated against COVID-19 across the country.
