Demand for holding of nominal voting

KATHMANDU: JAN. 17 – It has been proposed to postpone voting on State 2 nominees for the time being. Ram Saroj Yadav, a Nepali Congress MP from State 2, has proposed that the vote on the name of State 2 be postponed for the time being.

The name and permanent capital proposal are now being decided on in the state assembly meeting. However, MP Yadav has demanded that the proceedings be halted. “If the situation improves, let us vote on the capital [meeting adjourned] and discuss the naming.”

He proposed that the voting be postponed immediately since Janakpur is suitable for the capital and there is consensus among the majority. Voting, however, continues.
