Prime Minister’s Cup T20 cricket: Sudurpaschim’s first win

KATHMANDU: JAN. 13 – Sudurpaschim has won the Prime Minister’s Cup T20 cricket competition for the first time. Sudurpaschim beat Karnali State by 47 runs in a match played on Thursday at the TU ground in Kirtipur.

Sudurpaschim batted first after losing the toss and scored 153 runs despite losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Dipendra Bohara scored 22 runs for Sudurpaschim, while Deepak Bohara added 25 and Arjun Saud added 32. Basanta Karki scored 28 runs as well. Hemant Dhami knocked in ten runs.

Sudurpaschim’s Prakash Jaishi took three wickets. Similarly, Diwan Pun and Rabindra Shahi shared the wickets 2-2. Dinesh Adhikari had one wicket.

Chasing the target of 154 runs, Karnali was reduced to 106 runs in 19.1 overs. Opener and captain Rabindra Shahi scored 35 runs for Karnali while Arjun Gharti scored 30 runs. The performance of other players was not fast. Anup Kunwar scored 13 runs as an additional double score.

Sher Malla took four wickets, Hemanta Dhami two, and Bikash Agri, Aditya Mahata, and Gajendra Bohara one each.
