Police personnel, militant killed in ongoing encounter in Kulgam

AGENCY: JAN. 13 – In an ongoing operation in Kulgam, South Kashmir, a Jammu and Kashmir police officer and a militant were killed. According to J&K police, at least three army personnel and two civilians were injured during the operation.

The officer who was hurt has been identified as (selection grade) constable Rohit Chhib.

The encounter broke out in the Pariwan area of the Kulgam District late Wednesday evening.
