KATHMANDU: JAN. 13 – From today, the government has restricted entry to Singha Durbar. As the COVID-19 infection rate has risen, the government has restricted entry to Singha Durbar.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice stating that all permanent and temporary passes, as well as temporary circulars, issued by all ministries, agencies, secretariats, and commissions had been rejected. If a new temporary pass or circular is to be issued, the Ministry of Home Affairs must first provide permission.

Entry will be granted to sanitation workers based on the pass issued previously, while journalists will be admitted based on the identity card issued by the Department of Information.

The government has been tightening its regulation on COVID-19.
