Security personnel at PM’s residence tested positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: JAN. 12 – COVID-19 has spread in the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar. Officials working in the Prime Minister’s Office kitchen and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s security personnel have tested positive for COVID-19.

The PCR of security personnel and secretariat staff, including Prime Minister Deuba, was tested on Monday. Despite the negative PCR tests, Prime Minister Deuba’s personal secretary Bhanu Deuba stated that the COVID-19 infection was confirmed in the kitchen and security personnel working at the PM’s residence.

Prime Minister Deuba’s PCR will be checked again on Thursday, he said. The Prime Minister will undergo another PCR test on Thursday after being subjected to contact tracing.
