Student killed in tractor collision in Urlabari

KATHMANDU: JAN. 12 – A student was killed after being hit by a tractor in Morang district’s Urlabari. A student was killed this morning when he was hit by a tractor at the Solti Bridge in Urlabari- 3 on the East-West Highway.

According to police, Nischal Bania, 21, of Urlabari-7, was hit by a tractor (Ko 2 Ta 8296) while riding a motorbike (Pa 1152) to Nepal Darshan College at around 5:30 a.m. Baniya was killed on the spot after being hit by a tractor.

The tractor is in police custody, and the driver, Mohan Tamang, 19, of Morang’s Miklajung Rural Municipality-6, has been arrested.

According to police, the deceased’s body has been placed to Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Center Mangalbare for autopsy.
