State 2 defeats Gandaki by two wickets

KATHMANDU: JAN. 11 – State 2 beat Gandaki State by two wickets in the Prime Minister’s Cup T20 cricket tournament. Gandaki, who won the toss and chose to bat first, lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs while scoring 116 runs. State 2 responded by completing the target, losing 8 wickets with 11 balls to spare.

Captain Hasim Ansari top-scored with 26 runs while opener Santosh Karki added 23 runs. Similarly, Harikrishna Jha added 17 runs while another opener Harisankar Sah scored 12 runs. Bivek Yadav scored 10 runs as an additional double score. Krishna Poudel took 3 wickets for Gandaki while Bishal Poudel and Subash Bhandari took 2 wickets each.

Earlier, Arjun Kumal top-scored for Gandaki with 41 runs. Similarly, Sandeep Chhetri scored 27 runs while Anil Gurung and captain Bipin Khatri added 10 runs each.
