NC Vice President Gurung’s demand for talks with India on Lipulekh

KATHMANDU: JAN. 11 – Dhanraj Gurung, Vice President of the Nepali Congress, has urged the government to hold talks with India.

Gurung, who tweeted on the occasion of Prithivi Jayanti, called the issue of India building a road to Lipulekh “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim on Nepal’s land Lipulekh”.

Vice President Gurung has requested that the Nepalese government send diplomatic notes to the Indian government and undertake urgent negotiations on the matter.

He further wrote, “Remember Prithvi Narayan Shah. Let us honor Prithvi Narayan Shah. ‘Let us defend the country from foreign encroachment.”
