From today, children aged 12 to 18 to be vaccinated in Kathmandu Valley
KATHMANDU: JAN. 11 – Children aged 12 to 17 will be vaccinated in Kathmandu Valley beginning today. Children under the age of 12 and under the age of 18 are being vaccinated against the coronavirus at all local levels in the Valley, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
According to the ministry, being under the age of 18 means being 17 years, 11 months, and 29 days old. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are set to be given to the children. The campaign has already begun at several local levels in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.
The ministry has requested to go to the nearest vaccination center and get vaccinated. The government planned to give Pfizer vaccine in eight districts from December 28 to January 6, but the campaign was postponed due to a shortage of syringes.
