KATHMANDU: JAN. 9 – In the final match of the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh, New Zealand got off to a quick start in the first innings. New Zealand batted brilliantly on the first day of the second Test in Christchurch, scoring 349 runs for the loss of one wicket.

After losing the toss, New Zealand captain Tom Latham batted first and is undefeated on 186 runs. He hit 28 fours out of 278 balls.

Another opener Will Young scored 54 runs. Devon Conway is unbeaten on 99 runs. Bangladesh’s Shoriful Islam has grabbed one wicket. Bangladesh won the first Test by an eight wickets.
