Kandangwa unanimously elected as chairperson of UML Terhathum
TERHATHUM: JAN. 9 – Tej Man Kandangwa was overwhelmingly chosen as the CPN-chairperson UML’s at Terhathum’s 11th district convention. On Sunday, the convention, which started last Friday, unanimously elected new leadership.
Vice-chairperson Sanjay Tumbahamphe and Secretary Shiva Dhungana have been elected from the convention. Similarly, Chhatra Rimal and Ganesh Sodemba have been selected as Deputy Secretaries. The convention unanimously elected a 90-member district committee, including district office bearers, according to UML Terhathum. The leadership in each of the district’s six municipalities, as well as the district committee, were chosen unanimously by the UML.
Lachhuman Tiwari and Kandangwa, both former district chairpersons, had announced their candidacies for district chairperson. To choose a unanimous leadership, the district leaders had to go through a lengthy process. 550 delegates from all six municipalities attended the convention.
