Prachanda and Narayan Kaji tests positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: JAN. 8 – Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ CPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairperson, tested positive for COVID-19.

Ramesh Malla, Prachanda’s personal secretary, said that his COVID-19 reports were positive during the PCR testing. Prachanda’s health seems to be okay, according to him.

His secretariat has requested all those who have been in touch with Dahal for some days ago to be vigilant. As the risk of COVID-19 infection grew, Prachanda ceased meeting with the cadres.

After testing positive for COVID-19, Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has been living in isolation.

Shrestha also tests positive for COVID-19

Leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has also tested positive for COVID-19. Shrestha, a central member of the Maoist center, said on Saturday morning that he had been tested positive for COVID-19 through social media. “I am on home isolation because I was tested positive for COVID-19 infection on a PCR test. I will remain in isolation for at least 14 days, ”said Shrestha.

At the eighth general convention of the Maoist center held in Kathmandu recently, more than 100 of its leaders are suspected to have infected with COVID-19. The Central Committee meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has been postponed due to the illness of the leaders.
