Gore’s brother released on bail

BIRATNAGAR: JAN. 7 – Ramesh Upreti, accused of smuggling 33 kg of gold and murdering Sanam Shakya of Morang Urlabari, was granted Rs 200,000 bail. The district court in Morang has ordered that he be granted on Rs 200,000 bail.

Accused On Thursday, Ramesh Upreti involved in a heated dispute in district court. Following a discussion before Judge Bharat Lamsal’s bench, the bench ordered his release on bail.

On Tuesday, Ramesh, the brother of Chudamani Upreti Gore, the main accused in the 33 kg gold smuggling case, was arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport. Following a court order, he was released on bail.
