Westerly winds across the country, rain and snow in these areas
KATHMANDU: JAN. 6 – Light rain is currently occurring in the Far West, Karnali, Gandaki, and Lumbini. The Meteorological Department reports that rain has been falling since Wednesday evening owing to the impact of western winds.
Across the country, there will be partial to normal cloud cover in the afternoon. There is a chance of light to moderate snowfall in some parts of the country’s high hills and mountains. There is a chance of mild to moderate rain in parts of the Far West, Karnali, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Bagmati.
According to the Division, there will be partial to moderate cloud cover over the nation at night, with light rain falling in isolated sections of the country’s mountainous and Terai regions. There is a chance of light snow in some parts of the high hills and mountains.
The maximum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has now fallen, while winter has intensified. The morning valley has a maximum temperature of 8.2 degrees Celsius.
