Nepal Airlines to give 15 percent discount to Electricity Authority employees
KATHMANDU: JAN. 3 – Nepal Airlines Corporation and Nepal Electricity Authority have made an arrangement to transport passengers and cargo on international flights using Nepal Airlines aircraft.
On Monday, Nepal Airlines Corporation chairperson Yubaraj Adhikari and Electricity Authority Executive Director Kulman Ghising reached an agreement during a session hosted by the Ministry of Tourism.
According to the agreement, all employees and their families will now receive a 15% discount while traveling on Nepal Airlines’ international flights. NEA will also issue notice to all employees to travel through Nepal Airlines. Employees of the NEA will be exempt on the basis of their identification cards.
Nepal Airlines will also provide a 5 to 10% discount on cargo transportation.
Minister for Tourism Prem Bahadur Ale spoke on the occasion, saying that it was a good start for the two government agencies to use each other’s services. According to him, this has resulted in a spirit of collaboration among them.
Similarly, NEA Executive Director Ghising stated that all NEA staff will travel as often as possible on Nepal Airlines. Adhikari, the corporation’s chairperson, also stated that this cooperation was a joyful beginning.
