Nepal reports 216 new COVID-19 infections, 2 more deaths

ITAHARI: JAN. 2 – On Sunday, 216 people in Nepal were confirmed to have COVID-19 infection.

The RT-PCR method detected 213 of the confirmed cases, whereas the antigen method detected three.

According to the Ministry, two additional people have died as a result of COVID-19, bringing the total to 11,596.

Meanwhile, 209 people have returned home after recovering completely from COVID-19. So far, the total number of COVID-19 recovered in Nepal has reached 812,419.

In Nepal, there are 4,971 current cases and 114 critical cases.
