With a turnover of Rs 4 billion, the share market jumps 60 points

KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – The share market index (NEPSE) has climbed strongly on the first day of the week.

The share market has climbed substantially in the early days of this week, after falling the previous week.

The NEPSE index grew by 60.41 points to 2584.91 points on this day.

7.16 million shares of 240 companies were purchased and traded for Rs 4.12 billion on this day. Shares of 168 companies rose and 18 declined.

Shares of Himal Distillery, Bhotekoshi, Surya Life and Corporate Development Bank have risen the most.

On this day, the most shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank were bought and sold.

Similarly, shares of companies like Nabil Bank, Shivam Cement and API Holding have also shown interest.
