Prachanda proposing the name of office bearer
KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – The closed session of the seventh day of the 8th National General Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) is continuing at Pragya Bhawan in Kathmandu. Party chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will present the names of the office-bearers in today’s closed session.
The UCPN (M) is attempting to unify the office-bearers. Following that, Prachanda was given the responsibility of proposing the names of the leaders to be in office, as discussed at the standing committee meeting. Prachanda would offer the names of the office-bearers in closed sessions, according to a leader.
According to the leaders, the name proposed by Prachanda will be discussed. The leader said, “There will be more discussions after he proposes the name. In the meantime, what kind of reaction is there from other leaders? ‘
A 15-member official team and a 299-member central committee will lead the Maoists. The powers of the Central Committee will be delegated to the states. The state committee will be in charge of selecting 299 central members.
The General Convention had previously requested that just the chairperson and the Central Committee be finalized, despite the fact that the delegates are under a lot of pressure after the General Convention had previously demanded that everything be done.
