3 more central members of NC nominated, Rijal’s name not added

KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – Sher Bahadur Deuba, the President of the Nepali Congress, has nominated three more members to the Central Working Committee.

As per sub-section (10) of section 21 of the constitution 2017, President Deuba has nominated Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Pradip Poudel, and Kalyan Kumar Gurung as central members (with amendments).

President Deuba had previously nominated ten candidates. Deuba has been accused of only persuading leaders close to him. Arjun Singh KC, the party’s head, has urged that figures such as Minendra Prasad Rijal be convinced.

Even after 13 candidates were nominated, Rijal and other leaders’ names were not included.
