7 killed, 8 injured in Palpa funeral bus accident

KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – A bus accident in Palpa district has killed seven persons. According to Mohan Khan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lumbini State Traffic Police Office, Butwal, the bus (Lu 2 Kha 7279) carrying the deceased from Butwal to Gulmi for Ridi met with an accident at Ribdikot 2 Laguwa in Palpa.

He further stated that eight persons were injured in the bus accident on Sunday around 10:15 a.m. The injured are being treated at Palpa’s Mission Hospital.

The rescue mission is still underway, and the victim has yet to be identified, according to police. Details about the incident are yet to come.
