Heavy fog and mist in Terai, possibility of snow

KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – The Terai and hilly areas are currently shrouded in fog and mist. Westerly winds continue to hit Nepal, according to the Water and Weather Forecast Division.

Even today, there will be some cloud cover over the country due to the effect of western winds. There is a chance of light snowfall in one or two parts in State-1’s high hills and mountainous areas, Bagmati and Gandaki.

According to the department, there will be partial cloud cover across the country on Monday as well.

Meteorologists have also requested to avoid cold as there is a possibility of snowfall in high hilly and mountainous areas and thick fog in the morning.
