KATHMANDU: JAN. 2 – Tottenham and West Ham United have won the English Premier League. Tottenham beat Watford in last night’s game.
Tottenham won 1-0 after Davinson Sanchez scored in injury time. Despite increasing pressure on Watford with ball possession from the start of the game, Tottenham struggled to find the back of the net and had to wait for injury time.
Davinson Sanchez scored in the sixth minute of injury time to give Tottenham a crucial victory. With this victory, Tottenham has risen to the sixth position by adding 33 points from 18 games. Defeated Watford is in 17th place with 13 points.
In the other match, West Ham United defeated Crystal Palace 3-2. Manuel Lanzini scored twice and Michail Antonio scored once in West Ham’s win. Odsonne Edouard and Michael Olis scored for the home side.
With the win, West Ham has risen to fifth place in the table. They has 34 points in 20 games. Crystal Palace is 11th with 23 points from the same game.
