Prohibitory order on Bayalbas continues for the fourth day

SARLAHI: DEC. 31 – The prohibitory order imposed on Bayalbas in Ishworpur Municipality of Sarlahi continues for the fourth day today.

A prohibitory order was issued in the area on Dec. 28 after businessman Ram Kumar Mahato was killed in a collision with a police van.

The district administration office has issued a prohibitory order for the third time despite a six-point agreement including providing Rs 1 million as a relief to the family of the deceased. Thaneshwor Gautam, Chief District Officer, stated that the prohibitory order has been extended in order to ensure peace and security.

He stated that the prohibitory order has been extended till 7 p.m. tonight, effective Thursday evening. He stated that a high-level committee has been created to probe the incident in Ishworpur.

A five-member investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal, Superintendent of Police, Riot Control Battalion, State 2 Police Office.
