Political change is conceivable as per reconciliation of BP reconciliation policy: Deuba

KATHMANDU: DEC. 31 – Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress, has stated that political change is possible through restoring democracy on the basis of a reconciliation policy. On the occasion of National Unity and Reconciliation Day, he expressed his best wishes and stated that political change was possible because of leaders such as BP Koirala and Ganesh Man Singh.

Deuba highly respected the sacrifices, struggles and contributions of the leaders. “On this day, Poush 16, 2033 BS, our esteemed leaders including BP Koirala and Ganesh Man Singh returned home from exile following the policy of national unity and reconciliation. Deuba said on social media, “Today, I highly respect the sacrifices, struggles and contributions of our leaders.”

Today is Reconciliation Day, remembering the first elected Prime Minister, BP, who came home with a policy of national unity and reconciliation although eight death sentence cases were pending against him.
