Demand to declare ‘traitors’ those who have abandoned the party
KATHMANDU: DEC. 30 – Those who left the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) were urged to be declared ‘traitors’ at the closed session of the 8th National General Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center). The demand was made by the team leaders while discussing the political document of party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal, dubbed ‘Prachanda.’
Harka Bahadur Nemwang, State 1’s team leader, is the first to make such a demand. According to Nemwang, a representative of State 1 informed Makalu Khabar, “the traitors, including Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal), the leader who abandoned the UCPN (Maoist) and joined the UML, should be institutionalized.”
Written ‘reporting’ has been asked in the closed sessions. The representative said that the same thing was written in the report. Similarly, the group of State 1 has accused the evaluation of the cadres of being done at the whim of the leader and has drawn the attention of the leadership to make it lawful.
Similarly, the group has demanded that dissenting views in the constitution-drafting process be made public.
