KATHMANDU: DEC. 29 – The stock market (NEPSE) index rose 5.51 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week. The stock market NEPSE had also declined by 2.66 points on Tuesday and was traded at Rs 3 billion 125 million 75 thousand 632 rupees.

By the close of trading on this day, the NEPSE index had risen 0.22 percent to 2524.50 points.

The Sensitive Index rose 0.26 points to 471.24. Of the 13 subgroups traded, five declined while the rest rose.

A total of 56 lakh 38 thousand 2 hundred 79 shares of 228 companies were traded at a price of Rs 3 billion 622.34 million 80 thousand 292 rupees on Wednesday.

The share price of Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Co. Ltd. has risen by 9.99 percent on this day.

The share price of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited has risen by 9.8 percent.
