Adverse weather affects domestic flights
KATHMANDU: DEC. 29 – Due to the change in weather, domestic flights from Kathmandu were affected on Wednesday. Flights to Lukla and Pokhara in Solukhumbu have been canceled owing to poor weather, according to the Civil Aviation Office at Tribhuvan International Airport.
According to the Civil Aviation Office, the flight has been affected since it has been raining in most parts of the country, including Kathmandu Valley, since Tuesday night. Similarly, Nepal Airlines has canceled flights to Bhojpur and Taplejung due to inclement weather. There are 137 flights for today. However, flights are being canceled due to inclement weather, the aviation office said.
Flights to Dhangadhi, Bhadrapur, Simara, Nepalgunj, Janakpur, Bhairahawa, Surkhet, Biratnagar, and Bharatpur are operating, however, flights to Pokhara and Lukla have been canceled.
Flights have been canceled due to bad weather and poor visibility, according to airlines.
