KATHMANDU: DEC. 29 – In the English Premier League, Liverpool was defeated by Leicester City. Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s forward, missed a penalty as Liverpool stunned Leicester 1-0.
Ademola Lookman, the home team’s substitute forward, scored the game-winning goal in the 59th minute. In the 16th minute, Mohamed Salah missed a penalty that would have given Liverpool the lead.
With the defeat, Liverpool have six points behind top-ranked Manchester City.
Liverpool have 41 points and City have 47 points. Lester, who lost to Liverpool, has risen to ninth place with 25 points.
