Engineers Association expresses grief over the death of two engineers
KATHMANDU: DEC. 28 – The Engineers’ Association has expressed its grief over the deaths of two engineers who were inspecting the water pressure in the Solukhola Dudhkoshi project’s pipeline when an explosion occurred.
When an explosion occurred while inspecting the water pressure in a pipe connected to the 86 MW project under construction in Solukhumbu, engineers Subash Raj Regmi and Arjun Thapa were killed.
Engineer Triratna Bajracharya, the Association’s Chairperson, and General Secretary Chhabiraj Pokharel issued a statement expressing their sorrow over the incident and the deceased.
The association has also demanded that the project’s promoters and management provide appropriate compensation and provide assistance to the families of the deceased engineers.
