Siraha imposed prohibition order
KATHMANDU: DEC. 28 – Siraha has imposed a two-day prohibition order. After the Janamat Party’s general strike and traffic jams continued for many days, the administration issued a prohibition order.
According to a notice issued by Siraha Chief District Officer Lal Babu Kawari, a prohibitory order has been imposed today and tomorrow from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. A no-go zone has been formed on the National Highway from the Balan River in the east to the Kamala River in the west, as well as PK Raj Enterprises (up to the petrol pump) 500 meters from the Choharwa to Siraha road section.
During this time, traffic will be operated on the National Highway and Siraha Choharwa Road, but people will not be permitted to go outdoors, gather, or have political meetings or activities. Action has also been warned if the information is violated.
The Janamat Party has closed Siraha demanding seven points including withdrawal of the case registered against the farmers, release of the arrested farmers, the investigation into the corruption committed by the chairperson of the village Siddhartha Yadav and timely provision of manure to the farmers.
