KATHMANDU: DEC. 26 – The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) is holding its eighth general convention at Kamaladi, Kathmandu, at the Nepal Pragya Pratisthan building.

Despite the fact that the Maoists stated that it would be the first national conference, they suddenly decided to convert it into a general convention on Saturday.

The convention was attended by leaders such as Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal.

They were accompanied by CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, JSP Chairperson Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha Vice-Chairperson Durga Poudel.
