UML Chairperson Oli will not attend UCPN (M) General Convention’s inaugural
KATHMANDU: DEC. 26 – KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of the CPN-UML, has decided not to attend the CPN-Maoist Center’s 8th National General Convention. Chairperson Prachanda has been notified that he would be unable to attend the convention due to his current location in Jhapa.
On Sunday morning, Chairperson Prachanda had invited Oli to the inauguration ceremony of the General Convention by phone. However, Oli said that he would not be able to attend the meeting and would send a letter to General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
Earlier, Prachanda had not attended the UML’s 10th National General Convention in Chitwan. He had sent Maoist leader Leela Mani Pokhrel. The inauguration of the 8th National General Convention of the Maoist Center is being held at Pragya Bhawan Kamaladi today at 3 pm.
