Inaugural session of Maoist General Convention rescheduled

KATHMANDU: DEC. 26 – The inaugural session of the CPN-eighth Maoist’s general convention has been rescheduled. The conference, which was slated to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Similarly, the Maoists have invited representatives from other parties to the inaugural session.

Initially, there was a national conference to discuss the party’s views and policies, but no party was invited.

According to spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the party’s top leaders have been invited to the convention. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, JSP, CPN (Unified Socialist), Rastriya Janamorcha, Nepal Workers Peasants Party, CPN (ML), RPP and other parties have been invited.
