Fog is a sort of cloud that occurs close to the earth’s surface. The majority of the time, small water particles disintegrate in the open air.

The temperature of the external environment, as well as the temperature of the air, drops throughout the winter months. The water particles in the air cannot evaporate due to the cold, and the air becomes heavy.

This way the heavier air stays closer to the ground surface. This is what we refer to as fog. According to science, dense fog arises when the relative humidity of the atmosphere rises, or when the amount of water in the air rises.

Such fog might continue for several days in some cases. This is what we refer to as a “cold wave.” Fog has begun to fall throughout Kathmandu Valley, especially hilly places, today.
