Minister adding in Bagmati, Sworn in today
KATHMANDU: DEC. 24 – In Bagmati State, the Council of Ministers is being extended. On Friday, Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey will expand the cabinet for the fourth time. He had earlier appointed lawmakers from the CPN (Unified Socialist) and the CPN-Maoist Center as ministers.
Pandey is about to include three ministers and three ministers of state recommended by the Nepali Congress in the cabinet for the fourth time. The meeting of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party held in Hetauda met Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Milan Babu Shrestha, Minister for Culture and Tourism Dipendra Shrestha, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Poudel, Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure Development Sant Bahadur Praja, Minister of State for Health Kalpana Nepali and Rajani Amatya Jonche has been recommended to the Minister of State.
Bagmati has 14 ministers and four state ministers at the same time. Pandey has raised the number of ministries from eight to fourteen. The number of ministries has been increased to accommodate the state governments formed as per the central alliance.
