Rajendra Lingden refused to wear a 25 kg garland
KATHMANDU: DEC. 24 – Rajendra Lingden, the Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has declined to wear a 25 kilogram garland. Addressing a rally organized by RPP-Dang in Tulsipur on Thursday, Lingden refused to wear a 25-kg garland.
For the meeting, a stage was set up on the road in front of BP Chowk. RPP Vice-Chairperson Dhruva Pradhan, General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher JB Rana, Lumbini State Chairperson Sudip Uday, and former Minister Prem Bhandari were among those in present.
Garlands were carried from Kapilvastu to greet them. Lingden declined as he raised the 25/25 kilogram marigold flower garlands towards the stage.
All were looking at each other at that time. He gestured to place on the table. He was in Khada only. He did undo his Khada after a while. Till then, there was nothing but Rudraksha garland over his neck.
Why don’t you wear a garland to the question, Lingden said, “What I have done is to wear this beautiful flower garland. I am not yet fit to wear this garland.” After the chairperson refused to wear the garland, other leaders on the stage also took off the garland.
