Kishunji remembered
KATHMANDU: DEC. 24 – A candlelight vigil was organised on Thursday evening in the Capital City in memory of the late former president of the Nepali Congress (NC) and former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai (Kishunji).
Kishunji Study Centre organised the candlelight vigil and offered tribute to the statue of Kishunji on the 98th birth anniversary of the sainted leader.
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and other leaders were present at the event held at Kishunji Park in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10.
On the occasion, Minister Khand said that the sainted leader was always firm for the cause of nationality. “The NC should advance ahead in the path of integrity, ideals and nationality shown by Kishunji,” Khand added.
Centre’s chairperson Abinash Silwal said that it would be a true tribute to the late Kishunji only if NC moved ahead in the path shown by the sainted leader.
Established in 2073 BS, the centre is carrying out different research works about Kishunji.
