Prosecutor also boycotts Chief Justice!
KATHMANDU: DEC. 23 – Public prosecutors have also indirectly boycotted CJ Rana. Today marks the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the Office of the Attorney General.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been made the chief guest in the program organized in Kathmandu at 3 pm. However, CJ Rana has not been called. Instead, Bar Chairperson Chandeshwor Shrestha and the Law Minister have been invited.
Supreme Court justices and the bar have declared a boycott of CJ Rana. The public prosecutors who have remained silent till now and their concerned authority Attorney General’s Office have also silently rejected CJ Rana.
Earlier, the Attorney General’s Office had invited judges of the Supreme Court, including the Chief Justice, to its important functions and functions. CJ Rana was present at the inauguration ceremony of the Attorney General’s Office building last year.
