1,533 delegates to attend Maoist conference
KATHMANDU: DEC. 22 – A total of 1,533 delegates are expected to attend the CPN’s National Conference (Maoist Center). According to party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, 1,533 delegates from various regions will attend the inaugural national conference, which will be place from December 26 to 28.
According to him, the number of state representatives will be 803. Similarly, the organizers will have 179. Likewise, there will be 149 advisors.
There will be 27 central delegates and 125 delegates from the Senior Communist Forum. 73 percent of the total representatives will be nominated.
There will be 102 representatives from the Central Department and 75 representatives from the Commission. Mahara stated that the nominated representatives would include former members of the People’s Liberation Army as well as members of other parties who had unified and quit.
He said that he would not invite any guest from inside or outside the country as it was a national conference and not a general convention. The Maoists have stated that they will set up reception gates at the entrances of Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu.
