Parliament: UML continues obstruction, Speaker not stopped

KATHMANDU: DEC. 21 – The main opposition party, the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), has also obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday. UML, which has been obstructed all the meetings since Aug 8, has also obstructed the meeting today.

UML lawmakers started chanting slogans as soon as the meeting started. UML lawmakers chanted slogans while Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkata called for help in conducting the meeting.

However, Speaker Sapkata has moved the meeting forward. All the previous meetings had proceeded in the same manner. In the meeting held on Dec. 14, six bills have been tabled amidst UML slogans.
