Yadav elected as Joint General Secretary from Madhesi side

KATHMANDU: DEC. 17 – Mahendra Yadav has been elected as the Madhesi Joint General Secretary of the Nepali Congress. Candidate for the panel of President Sher Bahadur Deuba, he received 2,026 votes.

His nearest candidate Ram Krishna Yadav got 1,820 votes while another candidate Ranjit Karna got 472 votes. Ram Krishna is the candidate of the Koirala faction, whereas Karna is the candidate of leader Prakash Man Singh.

Mahendra defeated Ram Krishna Yadav of the Shekhar Koirala faction and nominated himself as Joint General Secretary.
