Mansoor elected as Joint General Secretary of Muslim side

KATHMANDU: DEC. 17 – The results of the election for the leadership of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress are continuing. In the counting of votes held on Friday, Farmullah Mansoor has been elected as the Joint General Secretary of the Muslim side.

Mansoor, who got 2,776 votes out of a total of 4,686 votes cast for a Joint General Secretary, defeated his rival lawyer Sheikh by 905 votes.

Similarly, another candidate Sheikh got 1871 votes. A total of 4686 votes were cast for the Joint General Secretary.

He belongs to the panel of President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
