Deuba’s faction lead
KATHMANDU: DEC. 17 – The Nepali Congress is currently counting votes for a Joint General Secretary.
On Friday, vote counting in three clusters is proceeding at the Congress Central Office in Sanepa. Mahendra Yadav has taken the lead from the Madhesi side in the counting of votes for Madhesi, Muslims, and Tharu.
Ram Krishna Yadav is on Koirala’s faction. Ranjit Karna had said that he would support Ram Krishna after the deadline for withdrawing his candidature. But, he has got the vote. President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s faction leads in other clusters. Earlier, on Thursday, votes were counted in three clusters.
The Deuba faction won in two clusters and the Koirala faction in one.
