When 54 percent of votes tabulated, who receives what proportion of votes?
KATHMANDU: DEC. 16 – The counting of votes for the new General Secretary of the Nepali Congress is underway.
In the ongoing counting at the party’s central office in Sanepa, a total of 2,520 votes have been counted thus far.
A total of 4679 votes have been cast in the election, and 2,520 have been counted. The votes counted represent 54% of the total votes cast.
Gagan Thapa has received the most votes thus far, followed by Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Prakash Sharan Mahat.
According to the data so far, Thapa has got 1648 votes or 65.3 percent, Sharma has got 1019 votes or 40.4 percent, Prakash Sharan Mahat has got 827 or about 32.8 percent, Pradip Poudel has got 746 or 29.6 percent and Dr. Minendra Rijal has got 436 votes or 17. 3 percent and Dr. Rajaram Karki got 64 votes or 2.5 percent of the total votes.
